My bow ignores the quiver and uses arrows from my inventory.

The selected slot is empty. You'll see No arrow in selected quiver slot. when you draw. Open the menu with R and select a slot with arrows in it.

Pressing R does nothing.

R only works when you're wearing a quiver: in your chest slot, bound to your chestplate or leggings, or in a Curios/Trinkets slot. If it's just in your inventory, hold it and right-click. The key can also be changed in Controls, so check it hasn't been rebound or clashes with another mod.

Can I put potions or other items in the quiver?

No. The slots only take arrows (including tipped and spectral arrows, and arrows from other mods) and firework rockets.

Does Infinity work?

Yes. With Infinity, shooting doesn't use up arrows from the quiver.

How do I take a quiver off my chestplate?

Drop the chestplate on the ground and drop an anvil on it. See Binding to armor.

Can I bind two quivers?

One per armor piece, so you can have one on your chestplate and one on your leggings. The chestplate's quiver is used first.

Arrows I pick up aren't going into the quiver.

Check the button in the top-right corner of the quiver menu. It should say Q, not I. If the quiver is full, arrows go to your inventory. Arrow pickup into the quiver doesn't happen in Creative mode.
